About Us

Hello!

We offer counselling and psychotherapy services to adults and students though our respective independent private practices.  We are both Registered Psychotherapists (RPs) with the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario and members of the Learning Specialists Association of Canada. With over 40 combined years as professionals in the counselling field, we have extensive experience to offer our clients.

We originally met working in the counselling department at a Canadian university where we provided personal, career, and learning supports to post-secondary students. Throughout our careers, we’ve had a particular interest in helping clients understand and address the impacts of mental health, personal circumstances, ADHD and learning differences and disabilities on their experiences in education and in life. In addition to individual counselling and psychotherapy, we’ve created and facilitated groups, programs, and workshops to support academic and personal wellness and success.

We approach our work with deep compassion and empathy, providing a supportive and empowering counselling environment. Our goal is to work together with our clients to help them discover their unique strengths and develop the skills to succeed personally, academically, and professionally.

We look forward to helping you along your journey!

Outside of my work life, some of my favourite things to do are reading novels, snuggling my dog, walking outdoors, and enjoying time with family at the lake!

I believe counselling and therapy can be a powerful way to explore desires and wishes, recognize and develop strengths, and learn new tools and strategies for personal or academic success.  Whether you want an empathic, listening ear or someone to help you set and achieve specific goals, I’d love to help you build the confidence and outcomes that are important to you.

Erin House, Registered Psychotherapist & Certified Teacher

Hi, I’m Erin!

I support teens and adults (ages 16+) who are facing stress or challenges in learning, work, or life. I offer a collaborative and supportive space to explore what’s feeling difficult right now and identify approaches that truly work for you.

With a background in both psychotherapy and education, I bring a unique perspective to my work - one that integrates emotional well-being with a deep understanding of how people learn. My goal is to help you build insight, develop practical skills, and feel more confident in how you approach everyday life. Here are some of the areas I can help with:

I have a Master of Education in Counselling, a Master of Science in Childhood Education, and a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and Child & Youth Studies. In addition to being a Registered Psychotherapist, I’m also a certified teacher with the Ontario College of Teachers.

I draw from evidence-based approaches including Person-Centred Therapy, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), and Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT), and incorporate principles of educational psychology and learning science. Whether we’re working on big-picture goals or day-to-day challenges, I’m here to help you move forward in ways that feel doable and meaningful to you.

When I’m not working, you can usually find me walking my dog, reading, spending time with family and friends, or planning out my next travel adventure—ideally with a cup of tea in hand!

I believe that therapy can help you reconnect with what matters most, develop skills that support your growth, and feel more capable in how you approach life’s challenges. If you're looking for a warm, thoughtful space to figure out what works for you, I’d be glad to connect.
